Brooklyn Decal began in 2012 when Mary Rhymer bought her first die-cut machine and opened an online store selling her small vinyl stickers and designs. Her eye for detail and balance quickly caught the attention of a New York art gallery. They approached her to design the wall text of their new installation. Several hundred feet of vinyl later, Brooklyn Decal is now the go-to source for gallery lettering for many art exhibitors in the NYC area and is the primary vinyl text provider for the galleries at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
